Bolette Roed is not merely a great virtuoso on her different recorders, she is also an unusually versatile and adventurous musician with a very broad repertoire.
Bolette performs in highly different ensembles of various sizes and a varied expression.
She made her highly acclaimed debut from the soloists’ class at The Royal Danish Music Academy in Copenhagen in 2004. Since then her career as a soloist and chamber player has taken her to venues and festivals around Europa and in the US.

Soon after making her debut, Bolette was named ‘Danish Radio Artist of the Year’ and in 2009 and 2011 she was nominated for the prestigious Nordic Council Music Prize.
She was also the recipient of the important Jacob Gade Prize (2003) and Danish Music Critics’ Prize (2014).
She was Gold Medalist in ‘Berlingske Tidendes Musikkonkurrence’ in Denmark. As a soloist and with the ensemble Alpha, she was a finalist of Concert Artist Guild Competition in New York City.
Alpha was a finalist in Terem Crossover Competition, Saint Petersborg in 2010, and in 2006 the ensemble won 2nd Prize and Special Prizes at Danish Radio’s Clamber Music Competition.

Bolette Roed’s discography comprises approx. 20 recordings, reflecting her versatility as a musician:
CD’s with the Polish baroque orchestra Arte dei Suonatori – includingVivaldis ‘The 4 Seasons’ – and Elephant House Quartet. A solo CD featuring Frans Brüggen’s arrangements of Bach’s solo sonatas, partitas and suites, recordings with the trio Alpha – including Bach’s Goldberg Variations and contemporary Danish music of Per Nørgård, Hans Abrahamsen, Bent Sørensen and Poul Ruders – to just name a few.
Her three CDs with Alpha were all nominated for Danish Radio’s P2 Prize, and the CD ‘Early and Late’ with the ensemble Gáman won Danish Radio’s P2 Prize in 2015.
